Librarian Wardrobe

Not always buns and sensible shoes, librarians at various types of libraries have different styles (and dress codes). Check it out here or submit your own.

Take a picture of yourself with your bike for your commute to or from work and Tweet it at @libwardrobe (or submit the photo here) from now until Friday, May 10th to be included in a sweet collage of librarians-who-bike-to-work!
You have to be in the picture, showing what you’re wearing (no pictures of only bicycles). Bike selfies are harder than regular selfies, so you might need to enlist a colleague! View high resolution

In love with this vintage cashmere cardigan with blue velvet roses. I picked it up from a vintage dealer at Viva Las Vegas last spring.  The pencil skirt has an amazing small train in the back and the heels are Steve Madden cast-offs a co-worker gave me when she was cleaning out her closet.

This photo is of my co-worker Michael and I at a Fashion’s Night Out party, the official kick-off event of New York’s Fashion Week.  Neither of us are the type for high-end designer duds, so we both ended up with some retro-inspired threads.  Michael is wearing a vintage shirt with a great late 50’s print.  We are at Marni’s, a boutique in SoHo.
Michael is an archivist at a Jewish library and I am a technical services & cataloging librarian there.
