Purpose:
To document, organize, and make accessible how a variety of information professionals dress for work and work-related activities (conferences, for example).
Content:
Images are user-submitted, and other content such as interviews or guest posts are acquired by Librarian Wardrobe contributors. Most weeks, we will be doing polls, asking questions that can be responded to here on Tumblr or on Twitter with the hashtag #lwwed (for Librarian Wardrobe Wednesday). Responses will be collected and then posted on this blog. We like text, but love pictures!
Organization:
Each image has tags that you can click on, so you can see for example, how academic librarians dress, or what librarians in CA wear. You can also click on types of clothing or position titles. We are currently working on developing a taxonomy to improve tagging and make it more standardized.
This blog is intended to be fun, but also to provide a useful resource. Thanks for checking it out and/or submitting!
